A friend who'd visited Barcelona last year went on the Gothic walk with Cat Tours and recommended it highly. After having gone myself, I was even more impressed than I expected! Our guide Shab was extremely knowledgeable, guiding us through both the streets of the Gothic Quarter and Barcelona's history from ancient Roman times through the Civil War and to modern-day traditions in an engaging way. He was very considerate of everyone's energy, finding great spots where everyone could sit briefly throughout the tour and asking if we needed food or refreshments throughout. He generously offered lots of local knowledge, stories, and experiences not only of the area but of Barcelona as a whole. Having a smaller group was really nice, and everyone was so friendly. I made a friend on the tour and we ended up eating at a great place Shab recommended and hanging out the next few days! Speaking of recommendations, at the end of the tour we all received a PDF brochure with tons of tips for restaurants, places to visit, the best food to eat, and more around Barcelona. I am so impressed with this tour -- definitely the best walking tour I've ever been on, and I can't recommend it highly enough! If I were to recommend one thing to do in Barcelona, it would be this tour!
