But we will not only talk about the past and history, since the capital is a very lively city that hosts more events related to cinema every day. On this guided tour we will tour the filming sets of memorable films such as The Day of the Beast or Open Your Eyes, we will follow in the footsteps of Lina Morgan, Almodóvar or Fernando Fernán Gómez through the streets of Madrid and we will try to delve into the creative mind of Garci , Buñuel, Berlanga, Álex de la Iglesia or Pilar Miró, who imagined their stories from this city and projected them from here to all of us.
Madrid, a movie city
The love story between our city and cinema is as fruitful as it is endless, but since this Journey to Nowhere must begin somewhere, we will meet at the legendary Renoir Plaza de España Cinemas . We will get to know our particular Walk of Fame , where artists like Antonio Banderas or Concha Velasco have stars, because there is life beyond Hollywood! Next, our tour will stop us at Ocho y Medio , a bookstore and cafeteria that acts as a meeting place for film lovers. We will reach the Plaza de las Comendadoras , where Lucía enjoyed sex and later became the meeting point in Madres parallelales , or the Plaza 2 de mayo , the nerve center where the Madrid scene originated and from where Pedro Almodóvar began to develop his cinema with Pepi, Luci, Bom and other ordinary girls .
