Ciao! My name is Hieu and I worked in Ngos and hospitality before becoming a tour guide. My childhood was filled with my grandpa’s 2-hectare botanic garden where he grew a wide range of tropical fruit trees in Hoi An. I was lucky to be able to step my little feet to every corner of his prosperous garden with all-year-round fruits and give a hand to help harvest the fruits. My father’s clan originated from the south of Vietnam which is considered a fruit metropolis. This gifted origin allowed me to have my entire childhood filled with fruits experiences, tips, and tricks. There is a call in me to bring my own experience in terms of fruit tasting that I kindly inherited from my two dearest grandpas into this Fruit tour. I would love to invite you all to join this Fruit tour to give yourself a chance to try all kinds of fruits from the most famous, highly recommended to your unknown fruit zone to maximize your experience in Hoi An as well as Vietnam. Tour description

Have you ever wondered what the taste of these colorful tropical fruits that you have seen in the markets, stores, and minimarts here in Hoi An and Vietnam? Have you ever thought of trying all/most of them to bring your traveling experience to an end? If yes, this is my sincere invitation to you.

Hoi An has an ideal geographical location and is one the main rest stops of the trading and heritage road across the country of Vietnam. Hence there is a wide range of fresh tropical fruits from all parts of Vietnam to be available in Hoi An Central Market.
Depending on which fruits are in season, we will taste around 25 different varieties which just you alone can’t try all.

There are about 12 vendors to visit and at each stops, you will taste some fruits at the spots and get some other Fruits take away for later taste at a Secret and very Walkable venue. A nice way to end the tour with Comfy chairs, Fresh Tropical Fruits to Taste, <Herbal Foot Bath, some nice drinks to order: these both require a small surcharge> in a quite Lush Green Alley where the Soul of Old Hoi An Town still remains.

We will go from small vendors (some grannies with fresh, newly picked, and home-grown fruits) to big fruit stalls that get their fruits from different regions of the whole Vietnam for sale. By doing this we can give our support to local farmers.

The tour might be cancelled due to extreme heavy rain or not enough minimum participants. An update about booking status will be sent so that Walker can have other alternative options.

Let's start the Treasure Hunt for Tropical Fruits at backdoor entrance at Bach Dang Street where a fresh fruits and vegetable market locates. Fresh Jackfruit and Soursop might be the first ones on the list to be tasted.

Parallel with Hoi An Central Food Court and connect to the front entrance at Tran Phu Street. We will check out fruit stalls in this street to see what will make us surprise! It could be Rambutan, Apple family (Custart Apple, Wax Apple, or Star Apple), Mangosteen or Guave the next.

Discover coconut kingdom of Hoi An Central Market and taste some crispy and tasty Coconut or sweet plus sour Green Mango served with savory grounded salt and red chili. A wide variety of inviting Bananas are also on the list.
