Free Walking Tours at Lyon

Really loved this tour! The information was super interesting, delivered very well. I loved the little fun things you’d never really know walking around the city, all Roman information & the little quiz at the end. I’ve done walking tours in lots of European cities & this one was one of the best!

Charlotte was quite knowledgeable, and was kind to explain details about the history of the places and how they have evolved to the present days. It was very entertaining. I recommend the tour.

Very enjoyable

Emre was great! He provided a very interesting and informative introduction to Lyon. Lyon is much more than gastronomy! We visited many sites and learnt much. There are many places that I'm sure I would not have been able to find on my own, especially the traboules which are well worth seeing.

Tour was an excellent introduction to the city. Bertrand spent just the right amount of time on each stop and had some great graphic illustrations to accompany his talk

This free tour ran smoothly from start to finish. Although not French, Paul is very passionate about Lyon. He was engaging & had many interesting human stories to tell as well as factual information about each area. It was one of the better free tours we have been on over many years.

Great tour by Bertrand. We have visited the most important places of the old town, had good amount of information and all our questions responded in very nice atmosphere.

Charlotte gave us such a wonderful experience in Lyon. My client and I were the only two people on the tour, and instead of cancelling, she happily continued and gave us what felt like a private tour of the city. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating stories about Lyon’s history, culture, and hidden gems. Charlotte made the entire walk engaging, relaxed, and really enjoyable. I had very limited time to explore Lyon during a work trip, but John made sure I still experienced the very best of the city. His knowledge of Lyon’s history, culture, and hidden spots was incredible, and he shared everything in such an engaging and friendly way. I ended up being the only person on the tour, and instead of cancelling, John generously gave me a private tour. That alone says so much about his dedication and passion for what he does. It made the experience feel even more special and personal. If you’re visiting Lyon, I genuinely can’t recommend this tour enough. John is an amazing guide, and booking this tour is an absolute must if you want to truly discover the city.

JD is an incredible guide and someone that gives so much joy, fun, laughter, and crucially, information. All of the street art along with other "look out fors" really opened my eyes to strange things placed throughout the city. When we arrived for the tour we were surprised to see it was only my dad and I but it was EXCELLENT ! 🤩 Bertrand was a great guide, very friendly, funny, and taught us a lot about his city! We really enjoyed our experience! At the end he even gave us restaurant and food recommendations and they did not disappoint! We tried local foods for dinner at a traditional Bouchon (Le Bouchon des filles) and had one of the best meals I’ve ever had!
