We are a group of guides passionate about Barcelona and we want to invite all travelers, not so travelers and curious locals to get to know this wonderful city in a closer way, so that they can enjoy it to the fullest and perhaps end up falling in love, like us. When you decide to travel, don't you feel an emotion that you can't explain? An adrenaline that invades you, makes you smile and leaves you breathless? We call this almost inexplicable feeling Resfeber: that emotion of something new that is about to arrive and you don't know where it may take you.
On this tour, we will not only explore the natural beauty and history of Barcelona, but we will also immerse ourselves in its transformations and evolution over time , from the Universal Exhibition of 1888 to the 1992 Olympic Games, events that left a mark indelible in the city and forged it as one of the most important cities in the world.
We will find the imposing Arc de Triomphe, built as the main entrance to the exhibition. We will walk through the lush gardens of the Ciutadela Park , where we will discover the greenhouses that house a
diversity of exotic and tropical plants, offering an oasis of greenery in the middle of the city.
We will stop in front of the magnificent monumental waterfall, which captivates with its beauty and elegance. We will also admire the architecture of the Parliament of Catalonia , whose imposing presence evokes the military, political and historical importance of this region.
At the end of the tour we will enter the neighborhood of La Barceloneta , where the city meets the sea. Did you know that fishermen used to live there?
We will learn about the transformation of the beach from an industrial area to a popular tourist destination, especially after the 1992 Olympic Games , which spurred urban renewal and revitalized the coastal area.
- The guide will be waiting for you at the Arc de Triomphe with an orange umbrella
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
