Ich hab an der fantastischen Gothic Quarter Tour teilgenommen und kann sie nur weiterempfehlen! Unser Guide war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam, humorvoll und bestens vorbereitet. Er hat immer darauf geachtet, dass die Gruppe zusammenbleibt und jeder ihn gut hören kann, und hat sich viel Zeit genommen, auf Fragen einzugehen. In den zwei Stunden hat er uns zu wunderschönen Orten geführt und dabei jede Menge spannende Geschichten, historische Hintergründe und Insider-Tipps geteilt. Besonders die Erzählungen über Gaudí und die düsteren, schaurigen Geschichten aus Barcelonas Vergangenheit waren großartig! Am Ende haben wir sogar noch einen ganzen Katalog mit persönlichen Empfehlungen, Links und Tipps bekommen. Man hat wirklich gemerkt, wie viel Herzblut, Zeit und Arbeit in dieser Tour stecken. ‼️Eine Sache möchte ich allerdings loswerden: Diese Touren leben von Trinkgeldern, und die Guides investieren viel Zeit, Wissen und Energie, ohne ein festes Gehalt im Hintergrund zu haben. Es hat mich ehrlich gesagt überrascht, wie viele Menschen nach einer so tollen Tour einfach gegangen sind, ohne sich angemessen erkenntlich zu zeigen. Natürlich entscheidet jeder selbst, was ihm die Tour wert war, aber wenn jemand sich zwei Stunden lang mit so viel Engagement um eine Gruppe kümmert und weit über das Übliche hinausgeht, sollte man das auch wertschätzen. Denn wenn wir solche Menschen nicht unterstützen, wird es solche Angebote irgendwann nicht mehr geben. Wenn engagierte Guides mit ihrer Arbeit am Ende kaum etwas verdienen oder sogar nur Zeit und Energie verlieren, werden sie diese Touren irgendwann nicht mehr anbieten können. Und das wäre wirklich schade, denn solche Erlebnisse machen eine Reise erst besonders, für mich ein Highlight der Reise! Ich habe unglaublich viel gelernt und würde sie jederzeit wieder machen 🩷

Highly recommend! Toni offered an interesting perspective on Barcelona (and its dragons). Don’t hesitate to book, as historical & art (and many more) questions are also welcomed, and accuratly answered with a lot of passion.

I feel sorry for anyone who does this tour at the height of summer heat but for us, it was still nice enough weather to walk the hillside and enjoy the information. The guide was great and had a lot to say about the history and sites. Very good tour.

Our guide Loïc was great, very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. However, I expected more historical information on the witch hunts and the inquisition, less about gruesome torture. I may have misread the description. But the information we got on these matters was fascinating.
