Free Walking Templar - Seville (Middle Ages, Crusades, Freemasonry)
Tour description
The only Free Walking Tour about the Crusades and the Orders of Chivalry!
We start with the only ruins of the Roman Empire in Seville. There I will tell you the history of the empire in these lands and what people's life was like until the 18th century, when the Islamic empire arrived. Then, we will start with our topic: the orders of chivalry, the three secret buildings of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in Seville. We will talk about Mary Magdalene and the Templars (and the Masons). A fascinating story that reaches our days. We will then go to the house where the greatest painter of the Spanish Baroque, Velázquez, was born. There you will learn about the history of the Baroque, the reaction of Spain and the church to the Protestant Lutheran Reformation. We will take a break from history at "Las Setas", a modern structure, beautiful at night, where I will tell you how to enjoy the city, where to eat, what activities to do and what not to do. We will end our tour at the Alameda de Hércules, where I will tell you how our story ends and where we are today.
I came to learn to see the world with new eyes : )
