From Oridda Gorge to Piscina Irgas Waterfall

The route that winds through the Rio Oridda gorge is certainly one of the most beautiful and wild routes that can be tackled in the Monte Linas massif, it constitutes an alternative route to reach the great 45-metre drop of the Piscina Irgas waterfall.

Starting from Cantina Ferraris we will immerse ourselves in the woods along a comfortable path that will soon give way to a beautiful canyon, with numerous waterfalls, natural emerald green pools and impressive granite rocks.

We will travel uphill along the river, tackling fords and passages on rocks to best extricate ourselves from this gorge that will not always offer us an easy passage.

The conditions of the route in this period bring out its beauty to the maximum, given the recent rains the waterfalls will give the best of themselves and the flow of the water will accompany us throughout the route, however a sure step and a previous trekking experience are required in order to tackle these short passages (sometimes slippery) with peace of mind.

After passing the final stretch of the Gorge we will arrive at the Piscina Irgas waterfall, which will repay us for all the efforts previously made and after a well-deserved lunch break we will begin the return along the classic route to the starting point.
