Philadelphia Old City History Tour
Tour description
The Philadelphia Old City History Tour will introduce you to the oldest part of one of the oldest cities in the United States. Starting at Independence National Park, we will venture through Old City and Society Hill and visit sites dating as far back as 1695.
We begin the tour at Independence National Park where we will pass the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Carpenter's Hall and the First Bank of the United States. We next venture to Old City where we will see Old City Hall, the Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley and Old Christ Church. We next stroll to Society Hill to see the United States Customs House and several historic Federal Style homes dating to the 1700s. We wrap up the tour back at Independence National Park.
The tour is historic in nature and we will cover a range of topics from colonial Philadelphia to the early Republic in the place where it all began. As a native Philadelphian, I will also point out great places to eat and drink and guide you to other parts of the city to enjoy.
