Free Tour of Amsterdam through Art, from Gold to Street Art with Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and Banksy.
Tour description
Have you ever wanted to walk through Amsterdam with Van Gogh and Banksy guiding you from a wall? On this Free Tour, we don't tell you the history of art... we'll take you inside it.
From the very first minute , you'll have your hands on the most iconic works , such as Rembrandt's self-portraits, Van Gogh's Sunflowers, or Kobra's Anna Frank mural, comparing them with the places that inspired them. It's not just a stroll; it's an open-air museum.
We start in the art district , surrounded by galleries, to meet the man behind the genius, Rembrandt . A master of light and self-portraiture, the city that elevated him has also forgotten him.
It was in this environment that Van Gogh emerged: without sales, without success, but with an inner strength that still moves us. We'll discuss his bond with his brother Theo and his sister-in-law Johanna, which would transform his legacy in Amsterdam.
We arrive at Museumplein , where four museums converse across centuries: Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Stedelijk Museum, and Moco. Opposite Van Gogh, art as an emotional refuge and mental health as part of the creative process. At the Stedelijk Museum, the irreverent avant-garde movements , and at Moco, Banksy and street art as a critical and poetic voice.
We'll take the free ferry to NDSM , the epicenter of urban art. We'll talk about the city as a canvas and art as a voice that doesn't ask permission . There, the Anne Frank mural speaks to us of memory and hope.
Through the eyes of Rembrandt, Van Gogh, and so many others, you'll see that Amsterdam isn't a stage set, it's a collective self-portrait.
