Tour description

If you’re visiting Seoul for the first time, these are the very first
 places you should see.

These are the hearts of the city — from the lively streets of Myeongdong, past the Seoul City Hall, keep the Cheonggyecheon stream,  Gwanghwamun Square, and to the royal gates of Gwanghwamun.

We’ll continue into the Bukchon Hanok Village, the Yeolin Songhyeon square which is the amazing large green park in the center of Seoul, and finish at the entrance of traditional street Insadong.

As a licensed Korean tour guide, I’ll share interesting stories, local legends, and the unique harmony of history and modern life that makes Seoul unforgettable.

This free walking tour is not only about seeing landmarks — it’s about feeling the Seoul, discovering hidden corners, and connecting with the city’s living culture.

I truly enjoy introducing travellers from all over the world to my city. By offering this experience freely, I find fulfilment in sharing Seoul with an open heart — in the true spirit of service and hospitality.

Highlights

What will we see on this tour?

Meeting point:
115 Toegye-ro, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea
- Meeting Point: Myeong-dong Station (Line 4), Exit 5, Seoul - How to Recognise Me: I will be wearing sunglasses and a brown-brimmed hat.
1
Outside visit
Seoul City Hall
Here you can see the harmony of past and present — the old City Hall from the 1920s stands gracefully in front of the modern glass building. The contrast perfectly captures Seoul’s character: tradition standing proudly next to innovation. In front of it lies Seoul Plaza, often filled with events and performances.
2
Outside visit
Cheonggyecheon Stream
Flowing through the heart of the city, this peaceful stream used to be buried under a highway for decades. Today it’s one of Seoul’s most beloved walkways — a place where locals unwind and visitors find unexpected calm amid the city buzz.
3
Outside visit
Gwanghwamun Square
This grand boulevard tells the story of Korea’s heroes — King Sejong, who created the Korean alphabet, and Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the naval commander who defended the nation. Standing here, you can feel the strength, pride, and dignity of the Korean people. It’s also one of the best photo spots with Gyeongbokgung and the mountains as a backdrop.
