Legends and myths of Dubrovnik

Hello, my name is Monika Sinanović Mehić, and I’m a local guide from Dubrovnik.

Join me on a 1 hour and 30 minute walking tour where I will show you Dubrovnik through the eyes of a local — mixing history, everyday life, and famous Game of Thrones locations. Legends speak of protective saints, forbidden love and the city’s clever diplomacy. Passed down through generations.

We start at Pile Gate, where I will personally welcome you. Our first stop is Fort Lovrijenac, known as the Red Keep from Game of Thrones. This stunning fortress offers incredible views and unforgettable stories.

After returning toward the Old Town, you’ll hear about Dubrovnik’s rich past and see a famous filming location from season two of Game of Thrones.

Next, we visit Onofrio’s Fountain and the nearby Franciscan Monastery, home to one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe. From there, we walk along Stradun, the main street and former heartbeat of the Dubrovnik Republic.

Along the way, you will see the Old Arsenal and the Rector’s Palace, and hear stories about rulers, social classes, daily life, architecture, culture, and traditions of the former Republic of Dubrovnik.

We will pass beautiful landmarks such as the Church of St. Blaise and the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, where every stone has a story to tell.

The tour ends at the famous “Walk of Shame” stairs from Game of Thrones — a perfect final stop and photo opportunity.
