Alcalali almond tree route in Flor 2020

In February, Alcalalí's flagged fields are covered with a blanket in pink and white shades: almond trees bloom and turn the landscape into a unique spectacle. That is why we usually celebrate «Feslalí, Alcalalí in bloom» throughout the month of February, which is usually when the almond trees bloom, dyeing the fields of white and pink tones and turning them into a fairytale landscape. Our fields full of almond trees are a clear sign that the main and star product of Alcalalí is its almond, with 60% of the local agricultural production being the almond tree, although currently this figure is decreasing with the passage of time, because of the plague of the Xylella Fastidiosa, which is ending the cultivation of almonds in the area of ​​the Marina Alta. Our routes are recommended to do during February to take advantage of flowering, however, they can be done during any time of the year, and provide a great image of the orography of the valley, its species of flora and fauna and its agrarian tradition.
