GuruWalk is an international free tours community that connects travelers with guides around the world. Our goal is for anyone to enjoy these types of tours anywhere in the world.

The GuruWalk community consists of "gurus" (local guides) who are open, attentive, fun people with great knowledge of the city and who will be your friends wherever you travel.

And their "walkers" (the travelers) who prefer this type of tours over others, who enjoy an unforgettable experience and, most importantly, who travel around the world doing guruwalks (free tours).

What is a free tour or guruwalk?

A "free tour" is a guided city tour where history, culture, and lifestyle are explained. Currently, it is already the first choice for travelers in any city they visit.

The concept is a bit confusing since "free" can mean both "no cost" and "freedom". In this case, it means "pay-what-you-want tour", meaning that travelers decide how much to give the guide at the end of the tour based on their experience. It's a model known as "reverse box office" that empowers the customer and improves the service offered.

At GuruWalk, we call them "guruwalks" because we don't want our walkers to confuse them with being completely free. Our intention is for them to understand the concept very well and fairly reward the gurus, so we can enjoy these tours anywhere in the world.

How does GuruWalk work?

Search for the city you're going to visit, choose from all available guruwalks (themed, neighborhoods, must-sees...) and book for free. You'll receive your booking confirmation in your email with all the information.

After that, you just need to go to the meeting point at the agreed time and learn about other cultures in a fun and entertaining way. Don't forget to reward the gurus' work well based on your experience.

How much does it cost?

The star question that all walkers ask us. You choose the amount, and we advise that it be based on the experience received or each person's economic possibilities.

Gurus are local guides who are training daily, trying to improve their knowledge and how to transmit it in an entertaining and fun way. We don't hesitate to say that they are the best guides a traveler can have in any destination.

That's why GuruWalk walkers usually give between €10 or €20 per person. But remember, you can choose to give more or less depending on the experience received.
