Tour nei dintorni del Guggenheim. Piacevole passeggiata di circa 2h e 30 Min, che si concentra soprattutto sugli aspetti architettonici, artistici e storici della città. La guida è stata molto gentile e ci ha permesso di partecipare al tour anche se eravamo solo in due. Consigliato!

Sanna haben wir direkt am Treffpunkt erkannt. Mit ihrer lila Baskenmütze war sie wirklich nicht zu übersehen. Unerwartet hatten wir an diesem Tag sogar das Glück, eine private Führung zu bekommen. Sanna hat sich rund 2,5 Stunden Zeit genommen und uns sehr engagiert durch Bilbao geführt. Dabei ist sie immer wieder auf unsere Fragen und Interessen eingegangen und hat die Tour flexibel an unsere Wünsche angepasst. Besonders schön fand ich, dass sie nicht einfach nur Fakten heruntererzählt hat, sondern auch viele Geschichten über die Stadt, das Leben in Bilbao und die Kultur im Baskenland eingebracht hat. Dadurch wurde die Tour sehr lebendig und auch für unseren Sohn interessant. Wir haben Orte gesehen, an denen wir alleine wahrscheinlich einfach vorbeigelaufen wären. Gleichzeitig hat sie uns viele Tipps gegeben, was man in Bilbao noch entdecken kann. Fazit: Eine sehr persönliche, sympathische und informative Stadtführung. Wer Bilbao besucht, ist bei Sanna definitiv in guten Händen.

Sanna did amazing! She showed us the modern part of the City while explaining everything about the transformation that Bilbao has gone through over the years. She showed passion and love for Bilbao and the Basque Country. She also welcomed questions and was very knowledgeable about the history of the City and Spain. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I had a great experience finding out the history of Bilbau all the way from the 1300s to it's sudden transformation post gugenheim and would reccomend to anyone visiting Bilbao

It was such a privilege to have Suzanne show us Bilbao and entertain us with the incredible history of this city. She is so knowledgeable, we learned an incredible amount and we thought that we had done some research - she answered all of our questions and much more. We participated in the tour before we went to the museum and honestly that was a really good decision. Understanding how the Guggenheim came to be built in Bilbao is fascinating as are many aspects of the city. Bilbao is my new favourite city in Spain and Suzanne is our favourite Geru!

We spend a great half day in Bilbao together with Suzanna and just 2 other ladies. It was sort of spending time with friends. Bring enough time, when you book this tour. Althoug not being originally from Bilbao, she shared her enthusiasm about the city and its treasure of architecture and art. Definetely a recommendation!

Very interesting tour with a very friendly guide.

Suzanna was a great tour guide. She is passionate about Bilbao, the tour was interesting and showed us parts of the city we would have never noticed otherwise. Plus she was so helpful for us generally as tourists, really went above and beyond.

Thanks to Susanne we had a wonderful insight into modern Bilbao and saw many interesting sights accompanied by a professional and knowledgeable explanation of the sight and the history and extra info than usual, anecdotes and delivered in a fun way. Would unhesitatingly recommend her as an excellent guide for the city.

Suzanne was really kind and walked me to the Guggenheim museum, despite having to cancel the tour, as I was the only person that arrived (the weather was very rainy!) She was clearly very knowledgable and passionate about the museum and also advised me of things to do in Bilbao during my stay. Susanne was our guide from Purple Basque Tours. It was “The new Bilbao and the Guggenheim Effect Architecture”. We decided to visit the Basque region primarily because we wanted to visit the Guggenheim Museum. This tour was a perfect introduction to our visit to the Guggenheim. The tour was scheduled to last 2 3/4 hours and Susanne continued to delight us for nearly four hours. If you are drawn to Bilbao by the lure of the Guggenheim, please seriously consider taking this tour first. It covers the architecture and history of the new city and ends in the forecourt of the museum. Susanne generously shared her insights and took us to significant buildings and put it in the context of how the new city developed and explained the Guggenheim effect and the Bilbao effect. She provided a wonderful history of the Basque people and the development of their society. Susanne encouraged us to ask any questions and was most engaging and interested in us too. We felt like we now have a new friend. Please don’t miss this tour!

I suspect she is too modest to admit it, but Suzanne is an excellent guide and the tour was really interesting. I have done a LOT of so-called "free tours" over the years and this was one of the best - packed full of information, varied and interesting information, all told in an engaging and easy to follow way. The groups are small - very small in my case - and that makes for a much more intimate atmosphere, ability to ask questions, the feeling that you are being shown around by a friend not an impersonal guide following a script to 20-30 people, like some tours can be. Suzanne clearly has a passion for the subject and does it for the love, she ran over time but was not bothered and did not want to shorten the tour, she just enjoyed telling stories and showing people the city she lives in.

Suzanne was the most knowledgeable, friendly and accomplished guide I have come across. She was amazing and I learned a lot about Bilbao, its history, its culture and its people. I would do this tour again just to absorb everything I heard.

I enjoyed my time on this tour and learned a lot I never would have known to even ask!! Highlights included the Ritz Carlton and the Calatrava bridge
