Gillen was charming, intelligent, knowledgeable and incitefyl about all i didn’t know about Bilboa and the Basque history. A very interesting tour. Would definitely do other tours.

Very interested with good info. on Basque history and current state of affairs I regard to culture, language, government and sport. A good description of the ups and downs of Bilbao’s history. Highly recommended.

ja, das war eine wirklich spannende tour: großes, breites wissen unseres sympathischen guides quer durch vergangenheit und gegenwart einer geschichtsträchtigen, vielleicht oftmals unterschätzten stadt. das sprachliche tempo war der begeisterung entsprechend, hätte für non native speaker vll noch ein wenig verlangsamt werden können. aber wir empfehlen die tour sicher weiter!

Lovely walk through the old town with Ander. Interesting to learn about the history of the area. Ended the walk at a food market which was great.

Great tour for a well wrapped up intro to the history of Bilbao. The guide, Ander, was professional and very polite. He presented the history of the city in a very interesting series of events and kept the group's interest throughout the tour. I personally found the final part very informative and loved the way this tour ended. Definitely suggesting this "walk" as an intro tour to everyone visiting the town!

The guide gave a lot of information about Bilbao's history. Just what I wanted.

We recommend the Guru-Walk highly. We got a good view on important places in the city accompanied by historical, social and cultural information, what makes you look at the city in a more complete way.

Great explanation & entretainer

Guru tours are advertised as free, but if you reserve for 7 people, there is an obligatory charge of €10 per person. I can understand the €15 cancellation fee if there is a no show, but not obliging each person to pay €10 when the donation is supposedly what each person feels it was worth.

For us, the tour was a little too long. It would be good to have a coffee stop midway. 1.5 hours would be ideal, particularly as Bilbao is not that big. Unai was very good and spoke excellent English.
