Free walking tours in Old Town

Highly recommend, very nice to see the city through with a local guide and learn about its history too.

Carino ma tolto i cenni storici il tour è molto circoscritto e non mi ha fatto apprezzare Bilbao più di quanto non avrei potuto documentandomi in autonomia ma non a causa della guida preparata e simpatica ma proprio per il giro limitato, troppo limitato e non per le poche attrazioni o zone di interesse che offre l’intera città.

Marvin was the perfect guide - his pride for his city really shone through all the anecdotes and historical stories he shared with us. I really appreciated his deep knowledge of the city and his genuine desire to educate us and share the best spots.

Our tour was cancelled as they only run if there’s a min of 4 people. 3 of us went and had a drink and a bite at cafe Bilbao and joined the next tour 45 mins later. Unfortunately I had to leave early as I had another tour so I missed the last 30 mins or so. Marvin was a great guide, he was very knowledgeable, spoke so many languages, shared great information on Bilbao and was very proud of his city and thanked us for visiting - very kind! He also helped me find the best point in the tour to maximize my time and got me on the tram to get to my next tour. Thank you! My rating is adjusted not because of Marvin (he gets 5 stars), the company lost a star for not going ahead with 3 of us. If you’re going to have a ‘free walking tour’ it’s not fair to your employees or customers if you cancel. If you want to have min numbers, don’t make it free.

There weren’t enough people for the tour in English so I joined the Spanish tour. I think see Google translate which was entertaining!

Great tour, Gillian was very friendly and a bit cautious at first, yet after feeling out the group vibe he became more open to share his vast knowledge with us. The best part though was hanging out with the other tour participants afterwards; we didn't know eachother at all before. The pace was good, and we covered enough to keep it interesting, and not too much to make it confusing.

This tour was awesome! Our guide provided a comprehensive history of old town Bilbao, showing us all the important landmarks and providing engaging and enthusiastic commentary. Always glad to get a quick rundown of a cities history as well as the context behind architecture and urban planning, and this tour went above and beyond!
