Stephane was a great guide who helped explain the history of Bilbao, Basque culture, and gave some great recommendations for Pintxos. Happy to have done the tour with him.

There weren’t enough people for the tour in English so I joined the Spanish tour. I think see Google translate which was entertaining!

Great tour, Gillian was very friendly and a bit cautious at first, yet after feeling out the group vibe he became more open to share his vast knowledge with us. The best part though was hanging out with the other tour participants afterwards; we didn't know eachother at all before. The pace was good, and we covered enough to keep it interesting, and not too much to make it confusing.

This tour was awesome! Our guide provided a comprehensive history of old town Bilbao, showing us all the important landmarks and providing engaging and enthusiastic commentary. Always glad to get a quick rundown of a cities history as well as the context behind architecture and urban planning, and this tour went above and beyond!

Marvin was an excellent promoter of basque history, culture and gastronomy. He spoke an understandable and informative english. He was dedicated to Bilbao and we can only recommand him

This was a great introduction to Bilbao. Marvin covered many aspects including old and recent history, regional culture, architecture and local anecdotes. Marvin was also very helpful in ensuring we made the most of whatever time we had in Bilbao. A great 2 hours!

I had a tour with Stephan and it went well.Tour was interesting and he had a lot of knowledge about Basque Country. However, there was one thing I didn't like. Stephan emphasized at least 3 times how important it was that we pay for this tour because he still has to pay taxes. I understand that nothing in this world is free anymore, but the free walking tour concept should be preserved. I felt unpleasant that he reminded 3 times not to forget to pay.

The hour was early and this may be why the group was very little - it was almost like a private tour. The guide was both a local and a knowledgeable professional, sharing insights into the modern life of the city as well as stories from its different historical periods. We really appreciated the narrative, which wasn’t simply chronological but rather based on connotations - really engaging and original. The route wasn’t long but allowed to see most of the Old Town with all the important points and left some time for a loose conversation. Time well-spent
