Essential Free walking tours of Cape Town

This was an interesting and enlightening tour. It illustrates how appallingly humans can treat their fellow man - but it is not just a political exercise, it was a fascinating tour and we could easily have spent a lot longer in our guides company exploring more of Cape Town

Nathan’s tour is absolutely brilliant and the highlight of our trip. He shared so much knowledge of the history of Cape Town and we loved the route. It felt very ‘behind the scenes’ and we particularly loved the history behind Bo-Kaap. Would absolutely recommend!

This tour was the best one I have been to in CT. Educational, personal och insightful, learned so much more than I expected.

As we were the only 2 walkers Michael adjusted the route to accompany us to our dinner venue. Very thoughtful. We learnt some facts we were unfamiliar with.

Bukiwe is such a welcoming personality and she has great knowledge about Cape Town and South Africa. We enjoyed walking through Cape Town with her, we learned a lot and even tasted some local food in Bo-Kaap. 100% recommended!

Our guide gave my husband and I detailed insight into the history of Cape Town. He is a very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. I would recommend that any visitors should spend time listening to his stories.

Buki was an INCREDIBLE guide who brought authenticity, care, and so much knowledge to the tour. I ended up not feeling well at the beginning of the tour and Buki slowed down and found some shade for me so I could be comfortable and ensured the pace worked for me. Buki went above and beyond and gave such in depth information about each spot and we even saw extra spots and hidden gems! I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend her. Thank you again Buki!

Great tour to understand the history and cultural evolution of South Africa

Buki was an excellent guide for our Cape Town city tour. She was very informative about the city’s history, always looked out for our safety, and shared practical tips on security that were genuinely helpful. Her local knowledge and care made the experience both enjoyable and reassuring. Highly recommended.

Nathan was an excellent guide! He provided detailed and interesting information about the history of the people, places, important events, architecture, and geography in Cape Town's history. He has a wealth of knowledge and shares it easily. He encourages questions and responds in detail to each one. He took us inside several sites to explain the wares, spices, and foods of various ethnic groups. Finally, at the end of our tour, he gave us Koeksisters so we could "taste the culture!" A delightful and delectable end to our almost 3 hr tour! Following the official tour, he accompanied me and my husband to view the Minstrel parade, when we indicated an interest, as well as to show us the oldest wine vine stock in S Africa! This was one of the best walking tours we have ever had snd we've had many good ones! Thanks, Nathan for making this visit to Cape Town very special!

Very informative led tour and certainly appreciate the real history surrounding the construction and use for the cape castle. Could have spent a good extra couple of hours there
