Essential Free walking tours of Fes

Abderrahime is a retired teacher, speaks English very well and told us a lot of interesting details about the architecture of Fès.

Absolutely wonderful! One of my favourite walking tours, he was so lovely!

Un tour molto pieno e affascinante nella Medina di Fez. Stof è estremamente professionale, conosce bene 5 lingue ed è sempre ben comprensibile grazie al microfono e agli auricolari che fornisce al pubblico. Ti permette di avere accesso ai luoghi più nascosti del labirinto che è la medina, cosa impensabile viaggiando da soli, dando numerose curiosità su storia e tradizioni della città e dell Marocco in generale. Consigliatissimo!

We had a lovely tour, and though it was a Friday (many shops are closed on Fridays in Medina) we experienced a rare look into Medina and covered all the important points, starting from a panoramic view of the fortified city and ending at the henna souk which was originally a musical therapy centre. When we reached early Abdul offered us to wait inside his Funky Fes hostel which was a beauty in itself. And throughout the tour Abdul regaled us with so many tales, there was never a dull moment. (You HAVE to ask him how he met his wife). Thank you Abdul and Funky tours for allowing us to explore Medina of Fes so well and understanding so much of Moroccan history. (We'd say that of all the tours we saw on the way, though our group was small it was the most lively :)

Very knowledgeable about the city of Fez and gave us some great recommendations for a reasonable Hamman to visit afterwards which we did and had a great time.

Zakaria was an amazing guide! His tour was informative and fun, and I feel like we experienced so much in just a few hours! I can't recommend this tour enough - we were sharing facts from this day for the rest of our trip (and probably beyond)!

A very informative tour! Stof explained a lot of things that made navigating the endless labyrinth of Fes more manageable. I especially liked that there was no pressure to buy anything unlike many tours in Morocco.

It was a really great tour with lots of information. Also clear and good English to understand! He is also really helpful after the tour to give tips and send you the right way to where you wanna go next and what is nice to visit.

It was good to have a guide as we wandered through the Medina but I think the tour dragged on a bit by the end. Good some good recommendations on places to eat and where to buy good Argon Oil.

I highly recommend doing the guided tour of Fès with Zakaria. He will show you around with a really good knowledge about the place and Morocco in general with humour and kindness. We learned so much and Zakaria stayed available for help even after the tour being finished. Many thanks !

Would highly recommend this walking toward anybody who came to Fes. Zak what’s super professional, knowledgeable, and was able to adapt to some challenges we had on our tour between colliding schedules and working through the crowds.
