Very nice walking tour to understand the origin and meaning of Zocalos and Guatepe. I was actually the only one on the tour so I had very nice time and could ask a lot of questions to understand the stories better. The guide was also very friendly, spoke good English and good company! Definitely recommended!!

Fue buenísima. Podíamos preguntar todo y ella nos daba informaciones no solo sobre Guatape sino también sobre el alrededor. La historia de Guatape es muy diferente a la de los otros lugares que hemos visitado (p.e. Bogotá) y nos daba una nueva idea de cómo puede cambiar un lugar rápidamente. Gracias!!!

This is an excellent tour of the heart of Guatape. You might enjoy seeing the brightly coloured murals on the buildings (zocalos), but you won’t understand their significance and meaning without taking a tour like this. The guru Beatriz is full of enthusiasm and knowledge, and the tour is a great experience. It’s a must-do in Guatape.

¡El tour estuvo genial! Si planean visitar Guatape, les recomiendo mucho contratar a los guías locales en lugar de usar agencias de fuera. La experiencia local es mucho más auténtica y enriquecedora, además el dinero queda para los locales.

Our tour was in English and her grasp of the English language was fantastic. It was simply a delight spending two+ hours with her this afternoon and I highly recommend her tour to anyone wanting to know more about Guatapé

Beatrice gave us so much unexpected information.... I hadn't realised about the issues surrounding how the town transformed from a farming community into a local tourist hub as a result of all the farmers being displaced & disinherited buy the building of the dam that flooded their farms . . . YOU will LOVE this tour. Beatrice' grand fathers have lived experience of the transformation to tourism & loss if their traditional farming livelihoods. Beatrice was able to share their experiences!!
