This tour was brilliant - Christian knew a lot about the local history and demonstrated this through his knowledge of plants, architecture and local lore. I especially loved the vibrant market where we saw loads of interesting produce (from black corn to chillis to alligator meat) and tried Amazonian 'Ice Cream' and an amazing drink made from tropical fruit. Seeing the architecture in the parta baja adapted for the rising and falling level of the river was fascinating. I definitely recommend!

Chrisitian fue un excelente guía! es una persona nacida y criada en el Barrio de Belén, así que en su guiado no sólo nos acompañó por los lugares sino que también nos fue contando miles de cosas que solo un local podría saber. Nos contó historias de su infancia relacionado con los lugares del Barrio, como la plaza, lo que se hace cuando crece el río, cómo funciona el mercado, cómo fue evolucionando todo el mercado y el barrio, super interesante. Además muy generoso en su conocimiento, cada vez que pasábamos por un árbol o una planta se frenaba y nos contaba qué era, cómo la usaban, cómo la tenemos que comer si es que la queremos comprar, etc. Fue muy divertido y muy interesante! Recomendadísimo Christian y seremos muy felices si cada vez más personas lo conocen y se hacen acompañar por él!

Great local guide. We walked along the Malecon to the main Belén market, then the lower Belén market area and to the floating houses. We stopped along the way for a delicious sugar cane drink. Christian shared a lot of information about the plants and trees along the way and about the history of the city and area of Belén. If you’re looking for a calm, kind, professional guide, I recommend him.

Hicimos el recorrido por el Mercado de Belén con Christian y la verdad que fue genial. Es una persona súper amable, cercana y con muchísimas ganas de enseñar. Nos explicó todo muy bien y nos contó un montón de cosas interesantes sobre el mercado, la cultura y la vida de la zona. Nos llevó por los mejores sitios y en todo momento estuvimos muy cómodos y bien acompañados. Se nota que conoce muy bien Iquitos y que disfruta mucho de su trabajo. Sin duda, 100% recomendable. Si vais a Iquitos, merece mucho la pena hacer el recorrido con Christian. Muchas gracias por todo!!

Luis is a great tour guide! He asked me where I wanted to go and took me to the Belén market and the beautiful mirante at the mouth of the Nanay River. Super adorable and knowledgeable guy. I would recommend him to any friend visiting Iquitos. Muchas gracias, Luis!
