Hi! I am Debora, 34 years old and mother of 2 young girls. Throughout my life, I have been passionate about sharing the wonders of nature with others. After moving to Asturias with my Spanish husband in 2018, I started my own travel company intoAsturias. I guide tours about the Camino de Santiago and through the beautiful nature here in northern Spain, with the goal to let international visitors experience and explore Asturias.

About the Tour

Have you heard about the Camino de Santiago? The oldest, or most original one, is the 'Camino Primitivo' and it starts in Oviedo! This tour leads you through Oviedo, partly following the first part of the Camino Primitivo. We'll pass by Oviedo's pilgrim hostels and former pilgrim hospitals. The route also leads through some of Oviedo's parks and the old town. Along the way, I will tell you how it is to live in Asturias and share specific insights about the Asturian history, gastronomy and nature.

Main itinerary:

Oviedo Catedral

Bulevar de la Sidra

La Peregrina

Campoamor Theatre

Calle Uria

Iglesia de San Isidoro el Real

El Fontan

Plaza de Trascorrales

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: In front of the statue of King Alfonso the II, on the left side of the Cathedral (when looking to the entrance of the Cathedral).

Thanks Nicole :). Enjoy your stay in Asturias!

An excellent alternative to the usual ‘dates and places’ walking tour. Debora is knowledgable and interesting. Very fluent in English (she is Dutch). Academic background in ecology and conservation. The focus of this tour on the Camino de Santiago, it’s history, and it’s influences on Oviedo made for an interesting starting point for our exploration of the city.

Response from Debora
Thanks a lot for this feedback Tracy. I enjoyed getting to know you and experience a bit of your long trip through Europe together. Have a great holiday!
