I studied history at the University of Alcalá and I am passionate about art, tourism and travel, as well as history. This small group tour is an excellent opportunity to discover the most beautiful city in the south of the Community of Madrid. Aranjuez, is declared a Royal Site and Villa by the kings, and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO .
Starting from the Royal Palace, located in the Plaza Elíptica , the route will allow the visitor to imagine what life was like for the ancient kings and their families, discover the gardens and monuments hidden by the grid layout of the city's streets, as well as enjoy of a quiet and special atmosphere , away from the hassles of a big city.
We will also talk about the secrets that the town keeps and the most important events that took place, such as the Mutiny of Aranjuez , which changed the course of the history of Spain. We will discover the hidden face of characters such as Manuel Godoy and Alfonso XII and the evolution of the city from its origins to the present day; on a route that will take us from the Royal Palace to the old part of the city.
