Hallo, Hello, Hola & Hallå, I am Martin. Doing guruwalks and meditation keeps my body and my mind fit. Using my Guru-energy does not only bring me donations into action for World Peace, for the future generations and for ecological sustainability, but it also raises awareness of what we our selves are doing and could do better. The best pillow is trying to be fantastic.
Why to book it?
The theme of this tour is ecological sustainability, how we humans can affect it, and about mistakes we have made and how we can do it better for future generations and the planet. What could be more important?
Itinerary:
If you want to come close to our meeting point by bus, get off at the shopping center Cosmo, shop things you need in the area and then walk down 200 meters to Heidi bar.
The walk starts exactly 10:00. No waiting, not even for royals.
10:10 Our first stop is in honour of the famous politician Willy Brandt from Germany who received the Nobel Peace prize, for relaxing relations between east and west.
10:20 We marvel at the beach as we reach the top of a natural huge dune.
10:30 We take a look at the statue of a woman looking out into the sea and some other statues in Morro Jable.
10:50 Last public toilet of the walk for us and time to buy sun creams, hats, drinks and snacks, if you forgot to bring them. There is an ecological shop here where I buy many things myself.
11:00 I will tell you scary things about the goats, and the herders long poles, at some statues of them.
11:10 We reach a great view point overlooking the beach.
11:30 I tell you some ways we can use the Aloe Vera plant and why the goats do not eat them.
12:00 We come to the turtle sanctuary and I tell you about Snappy, the turtle with a strong bite. You can donate money to the sanctuary if you want.
12:30 We meet outside the turtle sanctuary, hopefully with all of our fingers intact.
12:40 We reach a spot where you often can see stingrays, eagle ray and barracuda. I tell you some things about them and as a PADI Rescue Diver I can hopefully save you if you happen to fall in, but do not do it on purpose! it is absolutely not necessary in order to get a free hug from Guru Martin. Just put your arms out like some kind of Jesus! It works.
13:00 The free tour is finished. Normally people donate 5 euros per person in gratitude. You can give more or less, depending on your own level of happiness and gratitude. My recommendation is to breath deep, to get calm and then let your own feeling decide.
If you are too tired to walk back to town, or want to eat something, then rest in a nearby restaurant or call a local taxi: +34 928 541 257. It can for example take you to the local bus station (estación de guaguas) or to the center of Morro Jable.
You can also walk back to the centre of Morro Jable with me.
13:30 You will have many restaurants to chose from in Morro Jable.
Later when your food has landed well, you might want to enjoy the wonderful white beach and blue water, or maybe do yoga or meditation?

Recommendations:
Bring your own weather protection, walking shoes, water, and snacks.

Do you want to know additional possibilities and more details?
This is a great free walk for all, based on donations. You will walk (or roll) with Guru Martin, from Sweden, who i resident in Jandia.
If English is difficult to understand I can also speak German and Swedish. I am also trying to learn Spanish, but it is a bit difficult.
Fuerteventura sometimes has a very strong sun and sometimes a strong wind, so the walk is usually safer and more fun if bringing breathing protective reflective clothes and a breathing straw hat, or similar.
If you have trouble with stairs, you should know that our walk has been made by me, Guru Martin, so that stairs can be completely avoided.
This means you can use an electric mobility scooter or be in a wheelchair and cruise along easily if you want, if the battery lasts to the harbour and back again. If it breaks down Taxi is: +34 928 541 257.
If you want to walk more than three hours and start earlier in the cool morning, then a good start is at "the terracotta children" (Niños de Terracota) in a roundabout when arriving in Jandia from the north.
If you get off there early to make photos, then be very careful with the high speed traffic and be aware that you are about one hour away from the meeting point, by normal speed of walking, and that the next bus can be an hour away. For taxi call: +34 928 541 257
If you walk from the terracotta children then do walk down to the beach on the gravel road south of Aldiana Hotel, then follow the beach, or the paved walking road with art, to the south, in order to reach the meeting point.
Another good early start can be the big whale skeleton about three hundred meters from the Faro hotel bus stop. At this point there are good chances of seeing the green monk parakeets and maybe the barbaray ground squirrels.
Jandia has artistic sculptures, all the way from the whale skeleton to the meeting point, for example the amazing turtles and stingrays, made of recycled metal parts.
