Free tour of Nazism and Communism in Prague
The best rated guides in the city of Prague. We are a group of experienced guides. We organize guided tours of the historic center of the ancient capital, Czech and other cities of interest in the country. We are waiting for you on our Free Tour Prague! Our groups are small and exclusively in Spanish.
Tour description
On this tour we are going to introduce ourselves to the new city of Prague , where the most dramatic and emblematic episodes of the 20th century took place.
Nazi troops proudly paraded through Wenceslas Square, the heart of the new city, in 1939 , and the famous Soviet T-34 tanks circulated in 1945.
The new city is the nerve center of the Czech capital. Its streets were leading and privileged witnesses of the Prague Spring of 1968 and the Velvet Revolution of 1989, the entire history of Czechoslovakia (1918-1993) was embodied in the streets and corners of the youngest city in the historic center of Prague.
We will know in depth all the details of the impressive Operation Anthropoid , which sought to end the life of the Prague butcher, the Nazi SS, Reinhard Heydrich in 1942.
You will also learn how the communists managed, after the Second World War, to take full power in Czechoslovakia and establish a dictatorship of more than 40 years (1948-1989).
On this tour you will also see avant-garde artistic installations, historical and contemporary architecture (Brutalism, Deconstructivism) and as always we will give you a series of suggestions for convenient places to enjoy the best food and beer in the country.
If you are a lover of the history of the 20th century, world wars, the cold war and the bipolar world , this is the tour that is made for you.
