I am a tour guide with approximately 6 years of experience. I came to Norway for love of a person and I ended up falling in love with its nature, culture and of course the people. I want to show you its tourist attractions, tell you about its history and culture, but above all, give you the best advice to enjoy your days in the Nordic capital. I enjoy passing on my knowledge to other people so that they can make the most of their vacations and have an unforgettable experience. I love traveling and learning about different cultures. I have been working as a local guide for 2 years in Norway, doing free tours around the tourist center of the city. I invite you to participate in this experience to discover Oslo as a unique and impressive city and it doesn't always have to be so expensive.

Tour description

On this free walking tour of contrasts, we'll discover the many faces of Oslo. We'll stroll through the bohemian Grünerløkka district, explore the multicultural Grønland, and you'll be amazed by the futuristic architecture of Bjørvika.

Itinerary

At the appointed time we will meet at BLÅ bar, the city's most emblematic jazz and independent music club, to begin our free tour of Oslo's contrasts.

First, we'll explore the Grünerløkka district, the bohemian heart of the Norwegian capital. Once a working-class neighborhood filled with textile factories, it's now Oslo's most alternative district. We'll stroll along the banks of the Akerselva River, observing how the old industrial buildings have been transformed into art galleries, vintage shops, and markets.

Next, we'll venture into Grønland, the multicultural heart of the city, where the landscape will change completely. This neighborhood is one of the oldest parts of the city, dating back to when Oslo was called Christiania. Today, it's brimming with spice markets, exotic fruits, and international shops that reflect Norway's diverse side.

Next, we'll cross the spectacular Akrobaten pedestrian bridge over the train tracks. In just a few steps, you'll notice the contrast: we'll go from a humble neighborhood to the city's most expensive and modern district: Bjørvika.

In Bjørvika, we'll admire the famous Barcode project, featuring buildings that resemble barcodes, and the imposing Munch Museum, home to The Scream, one of the most iconic works of expressionist art. We'll also stop at the famous Oslo Opera House, whose white marble structure rises from the water like an iceberg.

Finally, we will approach Sørenga Bay, where we will say goodbye after a two-hour tour.

Attention Groups!
The tour is designed for small groups. Groups of 7 to 10 adults are asked to make a contribution of 15 euros per person at the start of the tour to ensure the guide receives a fair wage.

Payment is made by card or cash in local currency and in euros.

We're waiting for you!
