Tour description

Discover the flavors of Kenya and traditional food on a gastronomic tour accompanied by a local guide. Visit different food shops, markets and restaurants where you can try the typical Kenyan food and better understand the culture, history and customs of the country. Depending on which part of the city you visit, you can sample local dishes such as ugali, githeri, nyama choma, roast maize, samosa, pilau, chapati, mutura among others. The first stopover will be at Highland Restaurant at Corner house. Sample a few dishes on the menu and a few stories surrounding the dishes. From there, we head to Ronalo Foods on Kimathi Street. Sample different dishes as a team and share your opinion of the dish. Afterward, the team will head to Coast Dishes that serves food from the Kenyan coast. This will be followed by a visit to various local eateries along the way, depending on the guide’s choice. The tour concludes at Green Apple restaurant (or any other restaurant that will be agreed upon) with a final sampling of local dishes as well as a review of the food sampled during the day. The team will then head back to the original meeting point or disperse at will. Please note: - The different dishes to be sampled are not included in the itinerary so the guests are expected to buy at the different restaurants. - Remember to carry water to kee you hydrated during the entire tour.

We had a lovely time with George! The food was varied, plenty, super delicious and accommodating for all our dietary needs (vegetarian & low gluten). We would certainly recommend this as a must in Nairobi!

Duncan was absolutely incredible today! He was so kind to me the entire day and was very patient with all of my questions. He took his time taking me to places and never rushed me. This is the best day I have had in Nairobi so far and I will book another tour based on how good Duncan was. Thank you.

Spent a delightful day exploring Nairobi with John. Did the city tour in the morning and gastronomic tour in the afternoon. We quickly got very full with food and John was brilliant by showing us more of Nairobi instead. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We wanted to sample local Kenyan food in local restaurants. George brought us to several places and we enjoyed them all. Since this is our first time in Nairobi we also added a little extra walking around and went to the top of the Kenyetta International Conference Center for a great view of the city. This tour was just what we wanted and would re omnend George to anyone.
