Free tour of the Croix-Rousse
Tour description
Lyon is known for its two hills, the Croix-Rousse and the Fourvière. In this free tour we will enter the first one, where the most bohemian neighborhood of this city is located. What stories will await us in this place? After meeting at the Place de la Comédie at 3:00 p.m. we will start a walking tour to the Croix-Rousse. We will begin to talk about the great importance that this place had for the city of Lyon in the 18th century. A track. It is known as the "hill that works." Ascending down slopes and stairs we will gradually see a perfect panorama of the center of Lyon. Of course, we will stop as many times as necessary to catch air and, above all, take some photos. Walking through the neighborhood we will enter some traboules, some passages that connect different streets through the courtyards of the buildings. We will visit, for example, the Passage Thiaffait where there are several craft workshops, art galleries and fashion stores. During this free tour in Spanish through the Croix-Rousse neighborhood of Lyon we will also contemplate the ruins of the Roman amphitheater of the Three Galias, with more than 2,000 years of history. There will be a visit to the famous mur des Canuts, an urban mural that decorates the facade of a building creating an incredible game of perspective. It will surprise you! We will finish this free tour in the Mur des Canuts at 5:00 p.m. after two hours of walking on the main streets of the Croix-Rousse
