I’ll tell you all the historic details, stories, and legends of this great city, while showing you it's magnificent sites.
This tour starts near the emblematic Clérigos tower, we will proceed to Cordoaria and Rectory of Porto’s University, as well as the old town prison, nowadays the Portuguese Centre of Photography.
Walking down to the finance centre of Porto, we will arrive at Avenida dos Aliados, where several Portuguese and International banks headquarters are located, using some of the most beautiful buildings in the city, and of course, the quintessential town hall, that was located in several other places before it was built in the plaza.
We cannot miss the remarkable São Bento Train Station. We will cross the Luís I bridge, to relax, and have a cup of Portuguese delicious coffee, while admiring one of the best views of the entire city. On this margin of the river, in Vila Nova de Gaia, we will also see the monastery in Serra do Pilar.
Back in Porto we will go to the oldest cathedral in the country, the most magnificent of it’s kind, and walk down to the other margin of the Douro River, at Ribeira, once the most important maritime trade market in the country.
