This is one of many walking tours I have done in various cities, I always love these tours. Like other previous tours, I learnt things I didn't know, there were some surprising/ very local facts along the tour and the guide (Hazel) was energetic, informative and very engaging. I have no hesitation recommending Hazel or this particular walking tour.

Booked solo and turned out to be the only tour guest! Had Sue all to myself and she was fantastic. Her personal and comedic touch really made it memorable. This tour is a great intro for a newbie to HK/HK Island, going through the history, demography and culture as well as some key sites.

I had the pleasure of taking Andy’s new Sha Tau Kok tour in early April 2026. From the start, everything felt well organized—Andy met me at the metro (MTR) station and we travelled together to Sha Tau Kok, near the border with mainland China. This tour is definitely off the beaten path and offers a fascinating look at Hong Kong’s history and its current relationship with the mainland. Andy mentioned that I was his first foreign tourist on this tour (it’s more commonly taken by Hong Kong locals), which made the experience feel even more special. I applied for the Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area permit in advance and found the process straightforward, though Andy kindly offered to help. Highlights included a delicious Hakka meal, exploring the local market and visiting the picturesque waterfront. My visit also coincided with the Qingming Festival, and Andy explained the tradition of burning paper offerings for loved ones who have passed away. Andy brings a valuable local perspective, deep knowledge and speaks English very well, making the tour easy to follow and very engaging. It’s a bit of a journey to get there, but absolutely worth it for such a meaningful and lesser-known experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see a different side of Hong Kong.

This trip was perfect. I’ve been staying in Guangdong for years, so I feel a little embarrassed that I don’t come to Hong Kong more often. This was my second time here, and the tour was amazing. I got to experience Hong Kong culture and its special characteristics that are different from the mainland for the first time. Our tour guide was extremely professional and charismatic, and she really impressed us deeply. She shared so much knowledge that we had never known before, and chatted with us like a friend. She told us about Hong Kong’s history, culture, and its unique connections. We really enjoyed this trip with everyone. We hope to join again if we have the chance in the future.
