PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDES WITH GREAT GUIDING EXPERIENCE IN BILBAO. Bilbao Free Tour Experience is the result of a collaboration between a team of professional tour guides whose area of competence is not limited only to Bilbao but to the entire Euskadi-Basque Country. Upon graduation in Tourism, Art History and other higher university degrees, since 2002 we are dedicated to the outreach and dissemination of the artistic, cultural and natural heritage of the entire Basque autonomous community, as well as of its most important private and public museums. Our team has an extensive experience in the field of tourism, we have received tourists and travelers from more than 80 countries with tours available in 5 languages. We believe that a renewed tourism is possible and this is why we propose a range of initiatives in order to take care of the city and the environment. We also encourage the interaction between commerce and local culture with a more sustainable and environmentally friendly tourism. We are happy to guide you, to provide some advices and share with you our experience and our knowledge. We want to bring you closer to our city and help you get to know the most interasting places, explore them in details with respect to the environment so that you will discover the rich heritage and history of its streets, squares and spots.
About the tour
DISCOVER THE RICH INVENTORY OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE AND PUBLIC WORKS THAT STILL LOOM ON THE BANKS OF THE ESTUARY AND THE STREETS OF BILBAO TODAY.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR:
The estuary is the reason for being of Bilbao. Port before town, the city is not explained without it. We propose a walk along its left and right banks to discover the hidden beauty of a landscape and heritage forged over the centuries, the result of an industrial, mining and port past.
You will get to know pioneering projects in industry and technology, squares, markets, docks, remains of old loading areas, old calcination kilns, sheds, bridges, train stations, old warehouses, etc ...
A vindication of the memory of a Bilbao that we left, but that left its mark on the landscape and its people, and that forever determined the physiognomy of the estuary. "The Ría de Bilbao is the main street of Vizcaya ... The Ría, the main street of industrial Bilbao, has been and is the great way of silver" (Ignacio Aldecoa)

-Max groups 15 pax. Because in addition to professionals some of us are also neighbors and we believe that the future of the neighborhood depends on taking care of it and respecting it. Because we do not want you to miss any of our explanations and because we believe that a close treatment will improve your experience during the tour.
-We do not use amplifiers. We have nothing against it, we know its usefulness, but the Casco Viejo de Bilbao is not only a commercial and tourist area, it is also a residential area. Thus we do not contribute to noise pollution and we respect the rest of the neighbors.
-If you have a reusable bottle, we recommend that you take it with you. This will avoid the generation of waste from plastic bottles. In Bilbao there are more than 300 public sources with high quality drinking water that deserves to be valued.
