Bilbao Free Tour Experience is a project that was born as a response to the crisis caused in the tourism sector by the pandemic as a result of the collaboration of several professionals. Their team is not made up of amateurs or students, but rather PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDES, the first to bring the free tour model (reverse box office / free donation) to Bilbao, a once-exclusive service. Our work environment covers the entire Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. Diplomas in Tourism and Bachelors in Art History, we are dedicated to disseminating the artistic, cultural and natural heritage of the entire territory and its network of most important public and private museums such as the Guggenheim Museum or the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. We have extensive experience of 20 years in the field of tourism receiving public from more than 80 countries. We offer tours in Spanish, English, Basque, Italian and German. The last three in payment mode. Our tours are characterized by the depth of their information, they are exhaustive, well documented from a historical and cultural point of view and are aimed at an intellectually demanding public. Through our work we propose a series of initiatives for the care of the city, promoting the interaction of tourists with commerce and local culture. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR

With water as the guiding thread and intertwining passages, events and events, this visit relates the past and present of Bilbao town with water. From its origins, next to a passable ford of the Nervión-Ibaizabal, to the recent process of sanitation of the estuary, passing through some novel drinking water supply systems. Without forgetting the public sources, the devastating effects of the dreaded "aguadutxus" and the anecdotes related to water that have taken place over the centuries.

Fuente del Arenal - San Nicolás - Plaza Nueva - Plaza Unamuno - Portal de Zamudio - Cantón Alejandro de la Sota - Plaza Santos Juanes - Plaza Consulado de Bilbao - La Ribera - Plaza Santiago - Calle del Perro - Teatro Arriaga.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

-Groups of max. 15 pax. Because in addition to professionals some of us are also neighbors and we believe that the future of the neighborhood depends on taking care of it and respecting it. Because we do not want you to miss any of our explanations and because we believe that a close treatment will improve your experience during the tour.

-We do not use amplifiers. We have nothing against it, we know its usefulness, but the Casco Viejo de Bilbao is not only a commercial and tourist area, it is also a residential area. Thus we do not contribute to noise pollution and we respect the rest of the neighbors.

-If you have a reusable bottle, we recommend that you take it with you. This will avoid the generation of waste from plastic bottles. In Bilbao there are more than 300 public sources with high quality drinking water that deserves to be valued.
