Easy to find him outside the theatre. Good info given in quiter places so everyone could hear. Questions posed to make us think. Serious info and things to make us laugh. Contemporary and historical. Good pace of walking, too.

Our guide was Mikel. There were only three of us in the group, so we had a fantastic and very personal experience. Mikel introduced us to the history of Bilbao and made sure we understood that Bilbao is so much more than just the Guggenheim Museum. He is an excellent guide, and I highly recommend the Historical Tour with Mikel. Look for the guides in orange T-shirts with orange umbrellas!

Stephan was very informative and took us to the places that we wanted to see and know about them.

Basque Free Tour: Historic Bilbao

I’ve done this tour once before with a different guide so I was unsure if I would get the same information with a new guide this time. But our guide was amazing, speaking on cultural, political, and architectural history of the city answering any questions he could openly and honestly. Highly recommend this tour!

Basque Free Tour: Historic Bilbao

Marvin is an engaging guide: rather than 2 hours of historical facts & figures, after one of his tours, you will understand a lot about Bilbao culture, the people, their attitudes to life, the pride in their city, values, food, friendship...

Basque Free Tour: Historic Bilbao

Gracias Silvia, un tour fantástico.

Our guide, Marvin, was engaging and knowledgeable, sharing much of the long history of Bilbao and the cultural attributes of the Basque people that make them unique and special. I enjoyed the places we visited and hearing the history of each. It was a good orientation to the old town and a great way to start our trip.
