Ciao! Welcome to Florence, city of Art, History and Culture. I want to tell you about this city from its origins through the places and the names of those who made it the wonder it is today. We will explore the city with its squares and its historic buildings, through its works of art, its legends and its views and even its flavors! Ah, I'm Vincenzo, and I'll be your guide (authorized, beware of imitations). See you soon.

About the Tour

Ciao! I propose another guided tour of Florence. We will of course discover the history and also some of the art of Florence, but this will only be an overview because we will focus on the anecdotes, legends and curiosities of this city. We will start from Piazza Santissima Annunziata, where we will see how the first civil orphanage not related to the church was born and we will also see how a famous painter did in spite of the monks of the monastery. We will move to St. Mark's Square, where Cosimo the Elder de Medici spent a fortune, a little because in good faith a little because he was deceived. There will also be a visit to Cathedral Square, which hides many legends, a bit of the fruit of the imagination of the Florentines of the past, but still very cheerful and interesting. If we go to the church, which was a barn, one day we will see how Donatello helped a friend save his reputation in exchange for a simple dinner. We will see the battered statues in Piazza della Signoria. We then moved to Pontevecchio, where centuries ago the Florentines repaid the Pisans for an injustice that we will have seen in the cathedral.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: I will be next to the statue in the middle of Santissima Annunziata square

Grazie !!

Response from Vincenzo
