Tour description

This is a unique and beautiful tour. In just 2 hours you will see the main monuments of Naples from above.
You will have an overview of the city while admiring the most evocative landscapes.
Thanks to this experience we will reach little-known and very beautiful areas of Naples .
We start from our meeting point, the central funicular. From here we arrive at the Vomero hill ,
We will go down to a neighborhood with very elegant late 19th century buildings, you will listen to the silence and tranquility that characterizes this area. Meanwhile, our guide will tell you about the monuments that can be seen from above and the volcanic morphology that characterizes Naples.
We will go down some little-known stairs, it almost seems like we are in a nativity scene, from here we will arrive at Corso Vittorio Emanuele and we will see the landscape of the historic center of Naples, you will see the alleys from above and you will have all the historical information about the historic center. Finally we will descend into the popular neighborhoods of Naples where you can breathe the folklore of the old city. You will notice the big difference between the various neighborhoods we will visit.

    Funicolare centrale

    Augusteo station (starting point), dates from the year 1995. This cable car is an important point of union between the downtown and the upper neighborhoods (those on the hill). You get to Piazza Fuga Station, Vomero neighborhood. (It currently costs €1,30, one way ticket) The trips are daily with a frequency of 10 minutes. There are some direct non-stop trains from Augusteo to Piazza Fuga station and viceversa.

    Elegant up-hill neighborhood in Naples, founded at the end of the XIXth century, therefore the latest part to be developed in this antique city. It's mainly residential, but there are also many shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and important point of historical interest, like Saint Elm castle (cc. XIII and XIV) with the panoramic 360º view of the city; the museum of Saint Martin monastery (c. XIV), and the beautiful La Floridiana park, etc.

    Petraio

    Petraio is an area of Naples which takes its name from the homonym village (Gradini del Petraio, "Petraio steps" on Vomero hill. The word Petraio does not derivate from the name of the stone quarry, bur from from a place where flood rains deposit pebbles, the layout of the uphill way follows the route of one of the many alluvial riverbeds of Vomero, where a village was subsequently built, which over the years has become a place for wealthy families.

GRAN DECEPCION, nos dejaron plantadas, sin avisar y sin dar solución: No se presentó el guía, no avisó, a pesar de que escribí avisando que estaba en el punto de recogida y posteriormente llamé para saber qué pasaba, tampoco me dieron respuesta concreta. Perdimos la mañana, esperando, llamando y aunque subimos al funicular, obviamente sin un guía y recién llegadas, no entendimos nada. UNA LÁSTIMA!! Nos ofrecieron otros tours cuando llamé por teléfono para reclamar pero que no eran este y tanto por ubicación como por horario, no nos iban bien.
