Hi, I'm Lior. I've been living in Jerusalem for the past 5 years and would love to show you around this beautiful city! I have travelled a lot during my life, within Israel and abroad, and there's no place like Jerusalem. There's so much history and stories behind every spot here. Besides guiding, I also write and draw in my free time. Looking forward to guiding you in Jerusalem!

Tour description

This guided tour will take you to the charming neighborhood of Ein Karem, nestled in the beautiful hills of Jerusalem. We will talk about ancient terraces, love and a hidden treasure and of course we will visit important Christian sites such as the Church of the Visitation and the Church of John BaHarim. Join me on this tour to explore the best of Ein Karem!

Stops on the route:

  • The restored terraces of Wadi Ein Karem
  • John BaHarim Church
  • Mary's well
  • Church of the Visitation
  • Marziano's grocery store
  • Hotel Alegra

Please note: it is important to come with comfortable shoes, as part of the tour passes in the wadi and on the stairs. Also, bring enough water and clothing suitable for the weather!

How to get to the meeting point: The meeting point is the red statue next to Mount Herzl Light Rail Station (don't worry, you will see it). To get there, you can take the light rail from the city center (about 20-30 minutes of travel). Payment is required before boarding the train. It is also possible to pay with a loaded Rav-Kav transport card.

The tour will end in the center of Ein Karem. Nearby there is a bus station that will take you to Mount Herzl.
