I am a boy with a great cultural background but with my feet on the ground. I studied humanities at the University of Salamanca and later I was working for a few years in Japan as a translator and teacher, but I needed to go back to my roots in the mountains, so I decided to come to live in the Pyrenees, Astún! I would like to show the beauty of this place to people who are looking for an unforgettable experience and open their lungs in the high mountains. We will go up from Astún through the "climbing" valley to the route of the millenary lakes that runs through France with views of the Pico de Midi.
I would like to show the beauty of this place to people who are looking for an experience to purify and open their lungs in the high mountains.
Notice that this route requires good physical shape as it will be about 15km
In wild mountain.
We will go up from Astún through the "climbing" valley to the route of the millenary lakes. The first lake ( Lago Escalar ) has beautiful views of the Sierra del Aspe in Spanish territory, but the best of the route runs through France with views of the Midi d'Ossau peak.
The return point would be the Lacs d'Ayous with its mystical aura around the French Pyrenees , where we will stop to eat and rest, bathing in the lake is the pearl of the crown!
Of course, during the entire trip I will carry a first-aid kit with me in case someone might trip and injure themselves.
We would return to Astún station and arrive in time, around 5 or 6 pm, to the car park.
Useful information for the traveler:
- To enjoy the route it will be necessary for each one to bring their food and water, we will leave around 9 am from the base of the ski resort, Astún.
- The route is fully accessible for a basic level of Hiking, sometimes we use our hands as support and we will always go along a well marked path.
-If children come (as I have had good experience) I will sign a document for the responsibility of their safety in their parents.
-I will bring my reflex camera with which I will be able to take good photos of the entire group that I will share with those interested.
I will be in front of the chairlift that you can see as soon as you climb the stairs that leave the parking lot, I will wear a blue coat
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
