Hello visitors of Malmö and welcome to my fabulous hometown! My name is Agnes and I am from Sweden, born and raised in Stockholm. I have moved to charming Malmö for my studies and I absolutely love it! History, culture, food and fun are some of my favourite things and I can’t wait to share my knowledge of those things with you! I spent the summer working as a tour guide in Stockholm and I have been to countless walking tours myself, all over the world, so I know exactly what you want to know;)

Tour description

This walking tour will guide you through the most important historical events of Stockholm, while also teaching you how to best spend your time here and how to navigate in the swedish culture.

Stockholm is an incredibly beautiful city built on islands, where every island has a different look and a different personality. This tour will walk you through the picturesque old town, which is the center island of Stockholm. It is the perfect place for learning about the history of Stockholm while giving you an overview of all the other islands. I will tell you the most interesting and memorable facts about Stockholm and I will teach you everything you need to know about Swedish culture. And you will of course also get my insider tips on which places to visit, where to shop, and where to eat the best food!
Which places are we going to visit on the tour:

  • Gustav Adolfs Torg (start of the tour)
  • Helgeandsholmen (the parliament island)
  • Mynttorget
  • Riddarhustorget
  • Västerlånggatan (most famous street)
  • Järnpojken (the Iron Boy statue)
  • Stortoget
  • Mårten Trotzigs gränd (the narrowest street in Stockholm)
  • Järntorget (end of tour)

This tour will be the perfect introduction to your stay in Stockholm. So don't forget to book in order to secure your spot! :)

The way these free walking tours work is I get payed in tips at the end of the tour. So you pay me what you think that the tour was worth (to give you some sort of guidline: people usually pay around 100-200kr) Paypal or cash is ok, so if you don’t have paypal then make sure you have some cash before the tour begins!
