Walking Tour Rabat, City of lights by night ⭐

Duration: 2h and 15min
Languages: English
Guru: Youssef
Registered on March 06, 2018

I am a graduate of Mohammed v University of Rabat with a BA in English Studies. I am currently working for Microsoft as a customer service representative, on top of that I am working with a local NGO called Rabat sale Memoir, my role in this NGO is to educate schoolchildren about the importance of their tangible and intangible heritage. Besides that, I am working with American students studying Arabic as a translator and interpreter (I help them with interviews on the street or with local organizations and authorities). I also had the opportunity to work on an Italian TV show called Peckino Express, which was filmed in Morocco (my role was to accompany the film crew, talk to local authorities and make sure everything is okay). This experience allowed me to travel a lot in Morocco and enrich my knowledge about different parts of Morocco.

Tour description

Morocco has so much to offer.  The Moroccan experience is like no other.  If you are fortunate enough to visit Morocco and get to engage with the people, you’re soul will automatically become richer, wiser and fulfilled.
You will have the opportunity to visit the old part of the capital of Morocco by night and discover it from a local perspective. I will make sure you have a historical and cultural immersion. we can also cross the river to the neighboring city of sale and take a walk along its marina. I will take you to the best local restaurant and the best places where locals usually go. the tour can be customized based on your needs and how much time you have and usually, it's very flexible since I always make sure to keep the number of attendees less than five people.
The tour will start from bank al maghrib on Mohammed V avenue. we will head to the Hassan Tower (We will be able to have a nice view of the neighboring city of sale, the marina and the new opera house)after that we will walk along the marina of Rabat in the direction of the kasbah of loudaya .
Our next stop will be the Medina and its traditional shops which sell local products. We will also get the chance to see where the locals usually do their shopping and we can take some time to stop in a local coffee shop where the locals usually hangout.
This is an opportunity to ask as many questions as you like about the daily life of locals and the Moroccan traditions and culture .

The Tour is only offered in English.

Had a great time. We were only a small group of 2 and it felt like a friend showing another friend around his city. We even had a drink after with some of youseff's friends which was a bonus. Thanks for a memorable visit mate.

We had an amazing experience on Youssef's evening walking tour in Rabat. It turned out to be a private tour, and Youssef was an incredibly lovely, friendly, and informative guide. His deep knowledge of Rabat's history and culture truly enriched our experience as he took us through the city's charming streets and hidden gems. Youssef's warm and personable nature made us feel like we were exploring the city with a friend rather than just a guide. After the tour, we ended up having drinks and dinner together, which added a wonderful personal touch to the evening. It was a perfect way to start our Morocco trip, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the country. If you're in Rabat and looking for an engaging and insightful tour, I highly recommend Youssef's evening walking tour. You won't be disappointed!

The tour was amazing, nothing of what we had seen so far! It was like making a new local friend and letting him guide you through the city. He had all of the patience in answering every question, and included us completely in the local culture and life. Hope to meet you again in Rabat, Madrid or London :)
