......................
IMPORTANT please read this before booking this tour. Please make sure that all the people taking part of this tour read this too.

Update:
Some of the places might not be available because of demonstrations on the streets or other events, but we can make some changes in the itinerary if required.

Free tours do not have a set price, I do not recieve any sort of payment from the city hall or the Bolivian government.
Each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from 10 € to 50 USD depending on satisfaction with the tour).

I ONLY DO SMALL GROUPS, I am not trying to reach the most people, but the right type of people. The groups start from one to five and up to eight -upon request- people.
I strongly believe in quality services, and because of that, I also requiere that the people who book this tour should be interested in learning something. Please consider other options if you are too tired to listen or uninterested.

The history of Bolivia while walking around downtown Sucre with a certified guide.

Hey, thanks for scrolling all the way down here! Thing is, I love history. I was born in this city and I have spent most of my life here. The city of Sucre is the capital of Bolivia and kwonwing how this region became an independent country is something every single tourist should know.
There are different versions you might hear  but, unfortunatelly, because of censorship, even most of Bolivian people ignore the true facts behind the foundation of this country. I have studied this issue for a long time: what happened here  before the Spanish arrival? And what about the Colonial times and the early republican era?? And how things are going on now??  I have some very interesting answers.

I also tend to foccus on some dark issues and events that marked the Bolivian society, if you wanted to ask something to a Bolivian friend, even if controversial, feel free to ask anything during this tour. We will also have our laughs, since I want you to have a good time as well.

Come with me and learn more about my country.

The tour takes place in the historic center of Sucre and visits:

  • The Plaza 25 de Mayo
  • The central market
  • Bolivar Park
  • Recoleta viewpoint

 And more along the way.

Daniel was very informative and knows alot about the history of Sucre and Bolivia in general. It was very interesting to hear the lesser known facts. The highlight for me was the trip to the Central Market and meeting one of the stall owners and trying new fruit. Daniel also had some great recommendations for where to eat and things to do around Sucre.
