Tour description
My tour is a general historical tour in which we visit the landmarks of Budapest. As a Hungarian Culture and History teacher, I will give you an overview of Hungarian history starting from the birth of the Hungarian nation throughout the freedom fights and revolutions up until nowadays. I will explain why some of the monuments are falsifying historical facts and will tell you the true facts that were forbidden to talk about for decades.

- The shoes on the Danube
- Margaret Island
- Fisherman's Bastion
- Buda Castle
- Chain Bridge
- Hungarian Science Academy
Useful information:
- Meeting point: The entrance of the St.Stephen Basilica. Look out for the sky blue umbrella.
- The tour will end at the Chain Bridge.
- The tour is approximately 2-2.5 hours long.

Good luck. Hopefully Matthew will arrive on time, & not 25 minutes later, & will take the time to replace the blue umbrella that was stolen so that it's easy to spot him. I didn't stay for the tour so I can't speak of the tour itself.

Very informativ. Varied facts about the history of hungary. The tour was not boring at all and the time passed very quickly. I would recommend the Tour to everybody who is interested in history and likes to laugh.

Matthew made a tour only for the two of us. It was really interesting, we learned lots of things about Hungarian History and the places we saw. We had informations about Buda too even if we couldn't go (because it would take a 6 hour tour !). Matthew shared also a long list of recommandations ! We only have one : go on tour with him ;)
