My name is Jarrod. I'm originally from Australia but have been living in Barcelona since 2003. I've been a Tour Guide in Barcelona since 2015. I consider myself to be fun, happy, hard working, sociable, adventurous, and honest. I always try to adapt my tours to customers interests to ensure that it is the most enjoyable that it can be. Tour description

Get ready for an unforgettable guided tour through the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. I will present to you more than 2000 years of history in an informative but fun style hitting all major sites and attractions including:

The Jewish Quarter
Plaça de Sant Jaume
Plaça Sant Felip Neri
The Cathedral (outside only)
Plaça del Rei
El Born
Santa Maria del Mar, and more.

The tour will be structured in an easy-to-understand and chronological way that will enable you to walk away with a good insight of the fascinating history of Catalonia and especially Barcelona.
You'll hear about myths and legends as well as many cultural and historical facts as we meander through the small streets and admire the impressive architecture. I'll take you to the most interesting 'off the beaten track' parts that most people miss out on seeing when they wander on their own.

We'll be in a small, sustainable group which will enhance your experience while respecting local day-to-day life in the city. We'll have time to get to know each other along the way as well as a taking a pit stop for coffee, snacks, and refreshments.
Our journey will end in the El Born neighborhood which is one of the best areas for food and drink in Barcelona and a great place to spend time in after the tour.

In front of the post office by the stairs. I'll be holding a purple umbrella. If you arrive early, I recommend you go inside the post office and admire the interior. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the tour starts.

Jarrod was awesome! We had a private tour with just the 8 of us. He contacted us several days before the tour and even came straight to our hotel to meet up with us to start the tour. He was very informational and humorous at the same time. Since this was our first time in Barcelona, he made sure that we got a overview of the Gothic Quarter and the little alleys in the El Born area. If you are looking for a fun time, book Jarrod!

Jarrod our tour guide was fantastic! His enthusiasm and love for the city was infectious and he did a marvellous job of taking us through the history and culture of Barcelona. He was full of practical tips and advice and went out of his way to accommodate us. The 2,5 hours did not feel that long he managed to keep the children engaged the whole time, that’s how wonderful it was!

This was a great start to our stay in Barcelona. Jarrod, our guide, was knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. His passion for the city really came through in his clear, well presented explanations. I was also really impressed with his consideration of the people around us, making sure we weren't blocking the sidewalks or shop doorways at each stop. We appreciated being in a smaller group. We learned a lot on the tour and it really enhanced our experience in Barcelona. I can't recommend this highly enough.

We booked the Gothic Quarter tour for our first day in Barcelona and we truly loved it. Jarrod was outstanding, really knowledgable, funny, and kind. Jarrod was a wonderful tour guide around the gothic quarter of Barcelona. We learned so much and I felt that he had a real passion for the history of Barcelona. We were in a small group which made it comfortable and easy to hear him. He really cared about people in the group and was open to questions. Jarrod is a local so he could also give us some genuine food recommendations. We will definitely recommend this tour to our family and friends.
