Free tour Peniche: Peniche, a Chave do Reino (The Key of The Kingdom) - Once an island attacked by pirates
Hi! We are two young people, Diana and Romário and together we are Peniche360. Peniche360 emerged from the fusion between a young lady from Peniche, that learnt to admire her town and all its enchantments, and a young man from Lisbon, that found himself attached to this land embraced by the sea. Or in this case, as people say in Peniche, “drank the water from the Fonte Boa (Good Fountain)”. This is one of the many legends you’ll get to know if you come on a tour with us! We started doing tours because: 1st: Both of us love to travel, to explore, to discover and to get to know more. 2nd: We agreed that Peniche has so much to offer and that not many people really know the core of this place, since most people think that Peniche is resumed to Berlengas and surf... which isn't entirely true. 3rd: We are the only ones doing this in Peniche. 4th: What's the best way to get to know an unknown place? With a local, of course! We take you to places that are hidden and not so touristy. 5th: We'll show Peniche at 360 degrees. We decided to promote its corners, stories, legends and culture in a more integrated and comprehensive way, not only for those who visit our city, but also for those who already live here. Also we have this passion to talk to people and to show them around.

We'll tell you from where it all began (about 180 million years) till the present time. You'll get to know legends, traditions, facts, curiosities, and mysteries, we'll take you to places that are hidden and not so touristy while admiring beautiful landscapes. Live and feel the experience of what it's like to be a local in this land that was once an island. We will make you leave Peniche feeling the will to come back for another trip.
🔸What we're going to visit on our tour:
- Fortress of Peniche (where the tour starts)
- Bairro do Visconde (a typical neighborhood)
- Igreja de São Pedro (church)
- Local pastry shop (you'll be able to stop by to buy some local confectionary if you desire to)

🔸If you're having second thoughts on whether you should do this tour with us or not, let us help you: who better to guide you on a tour around town than a local? Oh! Almost forgot to mention that we are the only ones doing it! Why? Because most people think that Peniche is summed up to the beach, surf, and Berlengas. But Peniche is way more than just that and we are here to show you that in just a small piece of land you can find and learn about the heritage of 180 million years and secrets and stories like no other place.
