Hello, I am Dany Quirquihuaña Aymara, I have been a guide for more than 10 years and I like to teach and show the puma city on foot, since I believe that there should be no other city more important and majestic than the llaqta del Qosqo (city of Cusco) in South America, in Inca times. Let me show you this city in a different and fun way.

The tour with Paul was absolutely amazing! Paul did the tour with us even though we were the only two participants. The tour started at the cathedral where we took a taxi to the bike shop. The bikes were in good shape (mountain bikes with slim saddles) and we got some helmets as well. We started biking along one of the main streets towards San Sebastián. This might not be the most beautiful part of the tour, but the bike lanes were mostly in good shape and we only went downhill, so it was very easy. From there, a driver took us and the bikes up to around 3.800m, from where we started biking downhill again. We were biking along the road, but the traffic was fine and we felt safe at all time. The tour takes you along some of the main attractions like Sacsayhuaman (from the outside), but the actual highlights were the hidden places away from the tourists. Paul showed us a cave and a temple which used to be very important places for the Incas, where we had the chance to give some coca leaves and water as an offering to Pachamama and make a wish. A truly magical and special moment. Paul had a lot of knowledge about the places and the Incan history and we felt very well taken care of the whole time. Be aware though, that there are parts of the route where you go downhill on uneven paths. However, even though we have no mountain biking experience, this was no problem at all, since Paul made sure of a suitable speed for us. Your clothes might get dirty though due to mud or sand. And the end of the tour takes you along some streets again, where there might be a bit more traffic, but the guides will make sure to be aware of your safety and the speed. We 100% recommend the tour, since it also brought us a bit away from the tourist routes and gave us authentic insights into the region’s landscape and history.
