Normandy Battlefield (own vehicle required)

The beaches of Normandy are one of the most iconic and important places of the Second World War. Are you ready to discover all its secrets? The only tour in Normandy in Spanish.

What will you see and discover on this tour?:

When visiting a place like Normandy on your own, you risk overlooking most of the details that occurred in every corner of the battlefield. By booking this free tour, you will have an experienced guide who will accompany you at all times and explain what happened at each position in great detail. Moreover, as you will see, this guide is one of the leading disseminators of World War II in the Spanish-speaking world.

We will start at the American Cemetery where the scene from the movie Saving Private Ryan was filmed. There, we will thoroughly analyze the strategic planning of the Allied landing in Normandy and the great battle that followed.

Next, we will visit the cemetery and see the most iconic graves and monuments within it. We will see the graves of generals and soldiers who were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. Finally, we will enjoy a documentary and a small exhibition where we will see weapons, uniforms, and war material.

Then, we will walk down to the German defensive position where the German soldier Heinrich Severloh, nicknamed "the Beast of Omaha," was stationed after single-handedly taking down more than 1,000 Americans on D-Day. There, we will analyze how the bloody landing took place and where the Americans penetrated the German defenses. We will see the monument to the 1st U.S. Infantry Division and the tribute to a Spanish soldier.

Finally, we will drive to the Overlord Museum, just 3 kilometers from the cemetery, and see the most iconic tanks of the U.S. Army and the famous German 88mm gun. At the end of the tour, the guide will give you the relevant recommendations to continue visiting iconic places of the Battle of Normandy.
