The morning went by pleasantly thanks to his accuracy, knowledge, and great availability. He told the history of the city with interesting anecdotes, curiosities, and funny remarks that made the tour engaging and never boring. I also really appreciated his availability before the tour: he replied kindly and promptly to the messages I sent him asking for information. During the visit, whenever I had a question, he answered immediately, and if something wasn’t clear he explained it with patience and clarity, also helping me with my English. Having lived near Portsmouth nearly all my life I was pleasantly surprised with all the information that Steve imparted that I had no idea about. A thoroughly enjoyable experience - good walking pace.

Steve was great, easy to find him. He explained where we were going, and for 1.5 hours he told us, pointed things out to us that we would not have seen or understood had we just walked the route ourselves. The things we learnt about naval matters, the famous people born in Portsmouth and the significance of the buildings in Old Portsmouth were really interesting. Thoroughly recommend you book him the next time you're in Portsmouth. Also some of the money you give him goes towards a chosen charity.
