Benvinguts a València, foodies of the world!

Have you ever heard of esmozaret? Do you really know where paella comes from?

My name is Valentín, and I am so happy to be your host in my hometown. This tour is about eating, but also about learning. Using food and drinks as an excuse, you will get an alternative view of Valencia.

I have it all prepared for you. Feel the vibe of the Ciutat Vella and Eixample areas. Discover hidden gems like the Mercat Mossen Sorell and the Mercat Colón. Wanna try some local tapas? Have you covered. Also, along the way you’ll be able to grab some oysters directly from the stalls of the magnificent Mercat Central. 

This tour is ideally conceived for couples, but solo travelers are also invited to join. The food and drinks budget is roughly €35-45 per couple, but of course you don’t have to order everything I propose. As a downside, I am afraid there are not enough vegan alternatives. Welcome again, and bon profit!

PAYMENT POLICY. The minimum payment accepted at the end is 10 euros per person. If you are not willing to pay 10 or more, please don’t join this tour.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS. This tour is performed exclusively in English.

Die Märkte waren schön. Man hat einen guten Überblick bekommen. Die Informationen waren leider etwas dünn. Ich hätte mir mehr historische Fakten zu den einzelnen Orten gewünscht. Leider hat der Guide recht leise gesprochen, daher habe ich manchmal nicht alles verstanden. Er war aber sehr freundlich und hat versucht die Gruppe homogen zu machen. Alles in allem, ok :-) Das Essen war super!

Enjoyed trying listening and understanding different Valencia foods but tour slow and not enough knowledge forthcoming. The people however we met on the group we enjoyed the company however this was not a usual Guru walk where we come away with a really interesting perspective on the place just toured

We’ve been to three different markets and few small restaurants and learned a lot about the cuisine of València. Valentin gave us lots of recommendations and told also about the city, its history and development through the years. The food is been truly delicious. I would recommend to do this tour!

Valentin has a depth of knowledge about & love for his hometown! I’ve never been on a food tour, and this one exceeded my expectations. He brought our small group to 3 different mercados, where we tried foods I never would’ve tried, had I been on my own. The last place was a restaurant with a Michelin star chef! Valentin also shared a lot of history about the city - highly recommend this tour!
