Each tour guide we bring on is a working artist or activist bringing their own passion to the tours. Whether a dancer, musician, actor, filmmaker or community organizer, they’ll share a side of San Francisco that only they could know. We understand the complexities in our communities, work to find our place in it, and utilize our team’s diversity to continuously shape the tours to best tell the story of San Francisco.
Welcome to our free tour of San Francisco!
Designed with backpackers and solo travelers in mind, you’ll get tips on how to use transit, find cool bars, cheap food and make new friends, while seeing highlights of San Francisco. Join our tour to sample chocolate, visit some of our favorite landmarks, and enjoy beautiful views from a secret rooftop garden!
Every day at 10 AM!
Look for our yellow flag in Union Square at the corner of Post and Powell streets. We'll be standing next to the famous red heart statue!
Our tour is 2 hours and “pay-what-you-wish” for your guide ($10-15 per person suggested).
Look for a yellow "Free Tour" sign!
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
