Tour description
I am passionate to show tourists from around the world the architectural, heritage, culture, and history of Malacca, a world heritage site and UNESCO city. There are so many amazing stories including the hidden and back lane ones that I wish to share with you.
The following are the fantastic heritage and historical areas that I’m going explain in detail and I will walk together with you:
1/ The Stadthuys building. The Dutch used this as their government administration office as well as the British and Melaka.
2/ The legendary Heeren and Jonker Street in existence since the 18th century.
3/ The oldest Taoist temple in Malaysia - Cheng Hoon Teng temple built in 1673.
4/ The unique 1748 Muslim Kampong Kling mosque and the 1781 Sri PVM Hindu temple.
5/ The Christ Church which was built in 1741 and completed in 1753.
6/ The ancient ruins of the old Portuguese church up at St. Paul’s Hill. It is the oldest European structure in the Far East of Asia.
7/ The Porta de Santiago gateway, the last surviving and iconic gateway from the Portuguese era.
8/ The remnants and remains of the original Portuguese Fortaleza fortress.
