I love to travel and experience new places, people and activities. I play the guitar, and I make music (occasionally). I act in a theatre, and no matter if my wallet says no, I will join whichever food spot you recommend.
Welcome to Frankfurt!
The city of contrasts, extravagance, history and money.
Although Frankfurt is a relatively small city, it offers a wide range of sights and a lot of culture.
Our tour begins at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (easy to get to, right in the city center), takes us to the Alte Oper, through the financial district to the Großmarkt/Goetheplatz.
From there we head towards the Main, via the Paulskirche to the Römerberg, the heart of Frankfurt's old town. There we also find ourselves in front of the Frankfurt Cathedral before we pass the Main over the Eiserner Steg. On the other side of the Main, in Sachsenhausen, our tour ends with a traditional Frankfurt cider (approx. 5% alcohol) in one of the Frankfurt cider bars.
At each of the stops I will tell you a little history and trivia, give you tips for other worthwhile activities and show you photo spots.
The tour will last about 2 hours, with a total walking distance of about 1 hour.
Overview:
I would be very happy if, as a local, I could bring you closer to Frankfurt and show you that Frankfurt is an underrated metropolis in the heart of Germany.
See you on the next tour!
We meet at the bull and bear stature on the stock exchange. Börsenpl., 60313 Frankfurt am Main. I will have a colorful umbrella with me.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
